Michelin works closely with its suppliers to monitor ESG risks, based on a continuous improvement approach through EcoVadis and RubberWay™.
EcoVadis
Results from the EcoVadis suppliers’ assessments are shared and if improvements are required, corrective action plans are deployed.
In 2023, suppliers representing 97% of the Group’s expenditures in natural rubber were evaluated by EcoVadis. 94% of supply is of ‘confirmed’ ESG performance.
Confirmed performance as per the EcoVadis Assessment methodology is ≥45/100. Per pillar score: at confirmed level with a minimum of 50/100. Spend: year - 1
By the end of 2023, suppliers representing 83% of Michelin’s natural rubber supply are deploying RubberWay™.

Since 2017, Michelin has assessed and mapped its natural rubber supply chain with RubberWay™ a digital solution.
